For Your Consideration

For Your Consideration: Christopher Guest & crew are back and this time having fun with Oscar buzz. The humor here is the same as Guest’s earlier efforts such as A Mighty Wind and Best in Show. Compared to those however For Your Consideration is a little weak. Nevertheless if you are fan of Guest’s other movies (like myself), then I think this one is worth a spin. The story centers on a small film production that gets a little Oscar buzz going for its main actors. This causes a stir for everyone involved with the movie (the writers, actors, agents, and director). The film’s short run time (86 minutes) is perfect as the story could not go much further.
